This bootcamp is designed to help you: Understand what digital accessibility really means; Navigate best practice guidelines & legislation; Gain the knowledge and skills needed to create accessible content; Develop an action plan to take back to your organization.

Info exhibits on accessibility and universal design solutions being used at North Idaho College (NIC). 2022 marks our third year of hosting Pave the Way to Global Accessibility Awareness Day (PWGAAD) on April 20, 2022 from 10AM-1PM. Universal Design for Learning – Creating a flexible inclusive learning experience for all. This session will give an outline of Universal Design and provide practical advice on how to implement those principles in education. While Universal Design does not offer a ‘one-size-fits-all’ solution, it does present a model that aims to provide an educational experience that has considered the different educational backgrounds, learning preferences and abilities of a diverse learner population.

On May 10, from 3:00pm to 6:00pm, Atos Iberia will join the GAAD celebrations by hosting a series of webinar with worldwide recognized accessibility experts including Ana González Talaván, Cloud Solution Architect & Accessibility Specialist, Microsoft Ibérica, Jaisiel Madrid Sánchez, Interiors Living Lab Manager at CENFIM and creator of Business4ALL® Tools, Ángel García Crespo, Professor of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence and Director of the SoftLab Group, Carlos III University.

The Accessible Educator events include weekly MicroCPD videos, Showcase workshops and panel discussions and will allow colleagues at Birmingham to discuss and share their approaches, difficulties, and solutions to digital accessibility and to engage with development opportunities to develop their accessible practice. A new Accessible Educator course will invite colleagues to reflect on their current accessible practice and to consider attitudes and actions to becoming an Accessible Educator.

Agora is a conference aimed at ICT utilisation by visually impaired users. The plenary session will take place on Saturday morning and will offer participants the opportunity to learn about selected topics through short, frontal-led presentations. You can look forward to talks on tactile graphics, 3D printing, accessible games, and the latest development in the field of assistive technologies for people with visual impairment.
