Digital Accessibility Bootcamp (Virtual)

A free, virtual bootcamp that’ll help you understand how to make your website and digital content more accessible for everyone. This bootcamp is designed to help you: Understand what digital accessibility really means; Navigate best practice guidelines & legislation; Gain the knowledge and skills needed to create accessible content; Develop an action plan to take back to your organization.

Pave the Way to GAAD (In Person)

Info exhibits on accessibility and universal design solutions being used at North Idaho College (NIC). 2022 marks our third year of hosting Pave the Way to Global Accessibility Awareness Day (PWGAAD) on April 20, 2022 from 10AM-1PM. This is a FREE event that will take place in the Lake Coeur d’Alene room on the second floor of the Edminster Student Union Building at 495 N College Dr, Coeur d’Alene, ID 83814.

“No Passenger Left Behind” webinar series by the TRIPS project consortium (Virtual)

Three webinars – 5 May, 10 May and 23 June – to look at accessible transport with public transport providers, policy makers and travelers with disabilities. A call for action to make accessibility a core objective of upcoming infrastructure investments, in particular in public urban transport. A sharing of co-design solutions currently trialed in seven European cities.

Universal Design for Inclusive Learning (Virtual)

Universal Design for Learning – Creating a flexible inclusive learning experience for all. This session will give an outline of Universal Design and provide practical advice on how to implement those principles in education. While Universal Design does not offer a ‘one-size-fits-all’ solution, it does present a model that aims to provide an educational experience that has considered the different educational backgrounds, learning preferences and abilities of a diverse learner population.

GAAD 2022 at Atos (Virtual)

The Accessible Educator Series (Private/Internal)

13 May 2022 – 24 Jun 2022 | 1:00 PM-11:00 PM Europe/London (Birmingham, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland)

The Accessible Educator events include weekly MicroCPD videos, Showcase workshops and panel discussions and will allow colleagues at Birmingham to discuss and share their approaches, difficulties, and solutions to digital accessibility and to engage with development opportunities to develop their accessible practice. A new Accessible Educator course will invite colleagues to reflect on their current accessible practice and to consider attitudes and actions to becoming an Accessible Educator.

Spring Agora 2022 (Virtual)

Agora is a conference aimed at ICT utilisation by visually impaired users. The plenary session will take place on Saturday morning and will offer participants the opportunity to learn about selected topics through short, frontal-led presentations. You can look forward to talks on tactile graphics, 3D printing, accessible games, and the latest development in the field of assistive technologies for people with visual impairment.

Agora je dvoudenní konference, zaměřená na tématiku využití informačních a komunikačních technologií uživateli se zrakovým postižením. Její 15. běh nabídne zájemcům 8 příspěvků v plenární sekci, výstavu se stánky 9 vystavovatelů, herní zónu a 25 workshopů. Těšit se můžete na hmatovou grafiku, 3D tisk, hry, lupy, mobilní i desktopové aplikace a další technologie pro zrakově postižené uživatele.
